Swimming Beaches

Australia's South West has 1,147 kilometres of coastline which changes from tranquil bays to rugged granite headlands and cliffs within a few kilometres. This diversity adds to the beauty of the region and means there is something for everyone - from the exhilaration of a cliff top walk to a stroll along a sandy white beach.

For those that love the water there are endless possibilities and Australia's South West's sheltered bays have created some wonderful swimming beaches.

Beach Safety

Australian beaches are among the best in the world.  We hope you enjoy them, but please take a moment to read Surf Life Saving Australia's beach safety tips to make sure your visit to a South West beach is a safe and enjoyable one.

We suggest swimming at beaches that are patrolled by surf life savers, especially if you are unfamiliar with Australian beaches.
