Boyup Brook
Boyup Brook is set in the hills above the Blackwood River which is transformed into a mass of colour during the spring wildflower season. A six kilometre walk trail is the perfect way to discover the beauty of these wildflowers.
The name Boyup Brook is derived from the Aboriginal name of a nearby watercourse, said to mean "place of smoke".
Due to the annual Boyup Brook Music Festival the town has gained a reputation for country music and is home to the unique Harvey Dickson’s Country Music Centre. Also well worth a visit is the Flax Mill; built in 1941 and worked through until 1965. It now houses Sandy Chambers’ fascinating sand sculptures. The town's arts and crafts displays and historic homesteads make it an interesting and intriguing place to visit and explore.
