Nannup

Nannup is situated on the banks of the Blackwood River and is a historic mill town filled with a treasure trove of art and craft. The scenery is especially beautiful in spring when the wildflowers burst into colour, and there are a number of walks that take visitors along the river and into the forests to appreciate the spectacle.

Nannup is a name of Aboriginal origin, with two possible meanings "stopping place" and "place of parrots".

Several restaurants and cafes provide a warm welcome for visitors to this attractive little town. Many journey this way to see beautiful gardens (both public and private). The town is well known for its tulips and hosts an annual Tulip Festival.

There is plenty to discover in and around Nannup, and it’s perfectly located as an ideal starting point for a journey to explore further into Australia’s South West.
