Perth mix94.5 radio presenter Captain Paul visited Australia's South West for a whirlwind weekender! His destination this year was the beautiful Southern Forests region of Australia's South West.
Many regard the Southern Forests region to be the ‘food bowl’ of Western Australia, boasting some of the most productive soils in Australia. A wide variety of fine, fresh produce is available year-round around Manjimup andPemberton.
Niche epicurean treats include chestnuts, cherries, ginseng, green tea, dairy products, beef, lamb, marron, perch, trout, smoked products and more recently, the black truffle.
In addition to tasting his way around the Southern Forests, Captain Paul also got up close and personal with nature in Northcliffe and Walpole.
