Bunbury and the Ferguson Valley are gearing up to welcome the inaugural Lost & Found Festival in just a couple of short weeks, which will see more than 18 venues take part with a delicious line up of events. To be held from September 9-12 across the port city and its wine loving neighbour, Lost & Found’s program covers wine tastings, barrel hall dinners, brunch with beats, street art tours and art classes. All are welcome, with free community events, lunches that have considered the little ones, and a selection of 18+ events too.
We’ve rounded up our top picks of the program for you below. But be quick, some of the program is already sold out!
Head to Roelands Village for a free cultural celebration of country and community. Previously a Mission, Roelands Village is about creating an area where culture can be rediscovered, and opportunities can grow. Think cultural performers and live music from the likes of Desert Feet, while enjoying some damper and other fun and educational Indigenous workshops including basket weaving, Didgeridoo therapy, yarning, live music, bouncy castles, and art for the whole family to enjoy. Plus, stalls selling food, art, jewellery and wares.
If you grew up down south, you’ll be used to hearing the familiar voice of Noel Brunning on the nightly news, but for Lost & Found, he’s swapping to the morning shift at his Bunbury establishment, Mojos, to bring you a 3-course brunch, paired with sparkling wines from the nearby vineyards in the Fergie Valley. And the event will be set to a soundtrack of 80s beats. Tick. Tick. Tick.
We know wine brings out the creative side, so that’s why Art at Barton Jones is the perfect pairing. Choose between a pottery class on Saturday morning or a cactus painting workshop on Sunday afternoon held in the beautiful confines of Barton Jones cellar door. Snacks and glass of wine included.
Dress in your country best and get down to Wild Bull Brewery for a bootscootin’, tune tootin’ night of revelry, led by the Honkey Tonk Heroes. Your $45 ticket gets you access, entertainment and hot eats. And the bar will be stocked for your purchase as you go. You may need that Dutch courage to try the mechanical bull…

Hint: illusions won’t only be created by the fish tank glass…
