Only 13 kilometres from Dunsborough, the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse is one of the most popular attractions in the Geographe Bay and Margaret River Region. Easier than most lighthouses to climb, the lighthouse tower, and the restored cottages reveal the fascinating maritime history of the Cape region. This beautifully restored heritage precinct includes the period-themed Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage Cafe, offering delicious coffee, refreshments and light lunches.
On guided tours of the lighthouse tower, visitors make their way to the top balcony of the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, and are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, Cape Naturaliste, Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and the beautiful Geographe Bay coastline.
Built from limestone quarried from nearby Bunker Bay, at its highest point the lighthouse is 123 metres above sea level.
Friendly tour guides provide a fascinating insight into the functions of the working lighthouse and the maritime history of the area.
After your tour allow time to take in, and photograph, the stunning coastal landscape from the new observation platform at the base of the lighthouse tower.
Bookings required for groups. Tickets can also be purchased at the site or at the Margaret River, Busselton or Dunsborough Visitor Centres.
