Our small 8 acre vineyard on the pristine south coast of Albany was planted on the family farm in 1998 with the help of family and friends. The regenerative practices (based on organic principles) we incorporate means that synthetic chemicals are avoided, instead relying on natural systems that drive carbon from the atmosphere into the soil. This increases soil biodiversity, fertility, water retention and produces nutrient-rich crops. It also lowers our carbon footprint enormously.
A combination of mild summers - which allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop intense flavours - hand-picking, and meticulous wine making by Rob Diletti (2014 Australian Wine Maker of the Year), have resulted in our delicious organic wines winning numerous awards .
Join us for a seated Wine Flight where five of our wines are paired with local cheeses and other fresh, seasonal farm grown produce.
We also run seasonal immersive experiences. The Spirit of Sparkling enables participants to learn how champagne and sparkling wines are made using the traditional Methode Champenoise. They also get to help with the final stage of production – disgorging, the old fashioned way (by hand). We round out the session pairing local seasonal produce with sparkling wine.
Following the footsteps of Prince Charles and the Duchess Camilla, our Foraging Tour is a sensory journey through abundant diversity including our vineyard, potager garden, espalier orchard and rambling vegetable gardens. Participants smell, taste, pick and take home tree ripened organically grown fruit, nuts and herbs.
The Vermouth Voyage takes is a journey showcasing the 20 botanicals grown onsite that flavour our latest creation – Elixyr Botanica - one of Australia’s first vermouths to be made entirely from certified organic grapes and aromatic plants. Participants then get to enjoy the different ways to serve vermouth and how it pairs with food.
