West Coast Trail Bike Safaris is run by John and Georgina Staines (and their kids Noah & Mia).
John’s passion for riding started from a young age, where weekends were filled with either BMX or motor bikes at state competitive level. In his teens, injury brought a premature end to the racing side of things, so Staino took to exploring the South West surfing, Four Wheel driving and Trailbike Riding, eventually settling down to have children in the picturesque town of Bridgetown. It wasn’t long before Staino rustled up his brother and a few mates for regular rides in the area, paving the way for a future in Trail Bike Touring. So with 35 years of riding experience and local knowledge second to none, you can rest assured there is no-one better to be guiding you than Staino.
WCTBS is a licensed commercial tour operator with the Department of Environment and Conservation and has exclusive private property access. Our aim is to promote responsible off-road riding techniques by respecting our environment, land owners and anyone else using the precious trails of the south west region so they may remain open into the future.
We have many tours to choose from, catering for all levels of riders, and we are regularly adding new ones. Most tours are catered towards the intermediate level rider with easier and advanced options available to suit your skill level. All tours involve riding on public roads, so all bikes need to be fully road registered and ridden by licenced riders. Please note that ‘Class B’ or conditional registration is not permitted. There are no exceptions to this policy and if you are not able to demonstrate that your bike is fully road registered you will not be permitted to join the tour.
