Great Southern
The heart of Western Australian food and wine – taste the amazing flavours of the Great Southern.

11 days, 30+ culinary experiences, 20+ chefs

Escape the ordinary and head down to the festival celebrating fresh local food, boutique wines and the amazing flavours of the Great Southern. Located along the rugged southern coastline and into the mountains and forest ranges.

With 20+ local, state and nationally acclaimed chefs across 30+ not-to-be-missed culinary experiences. The festival will be home to long lunches, unique dinners, degustations, premium pairing events, community markets, music events, wine sessions and more.

The unique and award-winning wine and breweries of the Great Southern will feature across this amazing program. You can expect to sip wine varietals such as Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Riesling or maybe something a little different and of course, great local craft beer. Then taste and savour amazing farm fresh and local produce including oysters, seafood, chicken, beef and lamb, heirloom vegetables and cheeses.

It is an amazing and diverse region, from the marron farms and Tree Top Walk in Nornalup and Walpole’s forests of giants to the Orcas of Bremer Bay, it is a 300km drive from west to east. Then from Akoya Oysters and the natural wonders of Albany in the south, to broad acre farming in Kojonup to the north is 160km.

Events are located at venues through the Great Southern; Albany, Denmark, Mt Barker, Porongurup, Frankland River and Katanning.
