Bunbury Geographe

Just 90 minutes south from Perth, you will find the Bunbury Geographe Region. Home to the City of Bunbury, the region also includes the Geographe Wine Region, world-famous trails and much more. Explore rolling hills and misty valleys, breathtaking scenery, wine and beer and the freshest produce, art on a huge scale, and a creative and welcoming atmosphere.

Cafe and Bar Scene

Bunbury Geographe’s central hub – Bunbury – is one of the fastest growing regional cities in Australia. Here you’ll find a chasm of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and nightlife. Team that with boutique shops and seaside accommodation, and Bunbury becomes an easy choice for a day trip or weekend away.

Arts hub

An emerging creative community has transformed Bunbury Geographe into an urban playground bursting with vibrant street art, collective art spaces, pop-up events and festivals. Take the time to wander through the streets of Bunbury, where you’ll find splashes of colour thanks to a local street art initiative. After some entertainment? The Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre hosts a year-long bill of music, dance, comedy and theatre acts, while events like CinefestOZ open unique spaces up to the public. Delve a bit deeper and you’ll find groups of artists calling each one of Bunbury Geographe’s towns home. See their works at galleries, in the forest and in their own studios.

Food and wine

Bunbury Geographe is a produce-rich region also known for its farm-fresh citrus, apple, dairy and beef produce. Filled with boutique wineries established by passionate local artisans, the fast developing Geographe Wine Region is turning heads with excellent Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, making it the perfect place for a food and wine road trip. Wine lovers must visit the Ferguson Valley, a charming sub-region of Bunbury Geographe, home to more than 20 vineyards and wineries.

The great outdoors

You’ll find numerous mountain bike and hiking trails that weave through the region’s picturesque national parks and state forests. Inland lakes, waterways and camping sites can also be found dotted between scenic rolling hills and peaceful country settings.
