Art Exhibition @ BRAG: Ingress by Stuart Elliot

Art Exhibition @ BRAG: Ingress by Stuart Elliot

16 December 2023 - 18 February 2024
Bunbury Regional Art Gallery, 64 Wittenoom Street Bunbury

For over four decades, Stuart Elliott has stood as a defining figure in Western Australian visual arts. Known for his work’s intricacy, craftsmanship, and compelling narrative, Elliot continues to define what excellence in the visual arts is as an accomplished painter, sculptor, lecturer, curator, and writer.

His fictive representations present a world perpetually teetering on the brink of peril due to its own endeavours. His creations portray not idyllic rural landscapes but rather a premonition of an imminent industrial wasteland, capturing the essence of contemporary Western Australian civilization.

Ingress will feature recent paintings and sculptures by Elliot, including his major work, "The Causeway."

This exhibition will be on at BRAG from 16 December to 18 February 2024. The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Entry is always free.
