ABOUT YOUR TOUR GUIDE
Michael Brookes AKA Brookesy as he is more commonly known in the Western Australian mountain bike community is so passionate about biking he even proposed to his Mountain Biking partner Dianne in lycra in front of 1100 fellow riders at the start of the 2015 Cape to Cape stage race at Cape Leeuwin.

Michael’s roots in cycling run deep in many disciplines since Starting to Race BMX in 1980. Achieving national level rankings. Mountain biking started for him straight from his BMX career in 1991. Since then having raced and currently still does all forms of the sport.

Having travelled to the USA, New Zealand and Europe riding he possesses a wealth of knowledge on the industry. Michael is also a national level accredited mountain bike coach certified by Cycling Australia.
