Naturaliste Charters are the proud founders of whale watching in the Southwest. For over 30 years, our family owned business has had the privilege of providing our guests with the opportunity to encounter some of the oceans rarest and most spectacular wildlife in this pristine marine wilderness we call home. Our commitment to responsible whale watching is unwavering.

We prioritise the welfare of the whales and the marine environment. Naturaliste Charters strictly adheres to eco-friendly guidelines, ensuring minimal disturbance to the whales and their natural behaviours.

Join us for an experience you will never forget, your experience will include interpretive and educational tours with commentary by our highly experienced crew and on-board Marine Biologists. Morning or afternoon tea provided on all tours. A catered luncheon is provided on our Bremer Bay tours as well.

Thanks to our three best whale-watching locations in WA, we have a strong 99% whale sighting success rate. However, if the unexpected occurs and whales aren’t sighted during your tour, we invite you to enjoy another tour absolutely free of charge. Please refer to our No Whale Sighting Policy on our website for more details.

OUR VESSEL – Alison Maree

The ‘Alison Maree’ is a modern, spacious and luxurious 24m catamaran. Providing the ultimate in stability, comfort and safety, making her a popular choice for all ages and those with less mobility. Spot wildlife from the bow or from the huge upper and lower rear decks, or try all three!  Everyone is welcome to escape the elements and join the skipper in the comfort of the air-conditioned wheelhouse with an uninterrupted 360 degree panoramic view. Downstairs, relax in the spacious and comfortable air-conditioned or heated main saloon where seat-to-ceiling windows ensure wildlife viewing in comfort.

Augusta Whale Watching: 10am & 2pm May – August 2.5 hour tours. Dunsborough Whale Watching: 10am & 2pm August – November 2.5 hour tours. Bremer Bay 8:30am December – April Approx 8 hour tours.

Cancellation Policy

Our guest’s safety and comfort is always our priority. We constantly monitor sea conditions along the coastline and respond professionally to any changes. This may mean: Cancellation of a Tour Restrictions may be placed on passengers with medical or mobility problems. The child age limit may be raised. A full refund will apply to tours cancelled due to inclement weather, a tour where minimum passenger numbers have not been met or any other safety reason if it cannot be rebooked to the customer’s satisfaction. Cancellations by guests Cancellations by guests will incur a minimum 20% fee. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to departure incur a 50% fee. Cancellations 7 days or less of departure, no refund applies. If you need to change your booking please contact the office directly on (08) 9750 5500.
